There are two types of offers - conditional and unconditional. We make conditional offers to applicants who are currently studying qualifications. Conditional offers are usually made in UCAS tariff points and may include specific subjects or grades you need for your chosen course and details are available on the relevant course page.
We make unconditional offers to applicants who have already achieved the qualifications needed to enter their chosen course, including specific subjects or grades required.

For entry onto an undergraduate degree programme, you would normally need a pass in at least two A levels, or equivalent level 3 qualifications as a minimum. The new level 3 T levels, offered from September 2020, will be considered for entry onto our courses. There may be some course-specific requirements. You may also need GCSE passes at grade 4 (or C) or above, or other level 2 qualifications. Degrees with an integrated foundation year are 4 or 5 years in length, depending on whether you undertake a placement year as well.

T levels are new level 3 courses which are equivalent to 3 A levels. These 2-year courses, which launched in September 2020, have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for work, further training or study.
We welcome this new qualification and will consider it for entry onto our courses. There may be some course-specific requirements for programmes regulated or accredited by professional, statutory and regulatory bodies (PSRBs), and some course exemptions. Teesside University welcomes applicants with International Baccalaureate qualifications. We accept both the completed International Diploma programme and individual IB Diploma Course elements that carry UCAS tariff points.

You can gain considerable knowledge from work, volunteering and life. Under recognition of prior learning (RPL) you may be awarded credit for this which can be credited towards the course you want to study.
If you don't have conventional entry qualifications you may still be considered for admission through the RPL Admission to a Course process. This includes a phone or video conversation with an academic member of staff where you have the opportunity to provide any additional information and evidence.
