The SU Student Support (SUSS) team at Teesside University Students' Union (TUSU) retained the nationally recognised Advice Quality Standard (AQS). Teesside University Students' Union (TUSU) secured a gold Best Bar None (BBN) accreditation and shared second place for their venue The Terrace in 2019. The nationally recognised accreditation scheme is supported by the Home Office and The National Union of Students (NUS). The accreditation is awarded after independent auditors from BBN analyse the staff training, management and licensed trade practices of a venue.

Teesside is one of only a few universities in the UK to have been awarded the nationally recognised Customer First accreditation for its services to business.

The TEF is a national scheme run by the Office for Students (OfS) that aims to encourage higher education providers to improve and deliver excellence in the areas that students care about the most: teaching, learning and achieving positive outcomes from their studies.
TEF Gold means that the student experience and outcomes that we deliver are typically outstanding.
