Teesside Marketing Clinic is a free student-led consultancy support and advice service, covering the following areas:
Students at Teesside University International Business School work at the clinic during undergraduate and postgraduate-level study.
After initially scoping the idea and project, students work in groups to tackle your business challenge and present commercial solutions. This involves students visiting your organisation, communicating their progress, conducting primary and secondary research, and making subsequent recommendations in the form of a report or presentation.
You are expected to work with Teesside Marketing Clinic and their student consultancy firm in the following ways:
All businesses will be interviewed or vetted to check the appropriateness of the project and suitability of the organisation for the students to work with.
A level of confidentiality and commercial sensitivity will be established on a case-by-case basis.
Teesside Marketing Clinic will support the student consultancy teams, providing appropriate guidance through regular workshops and supervision, providing feedback when necessary.
Teesside Marketing Clinic has worked on a variety of client-led briefs. Hear from clients who have worked with our students on consultancy projects which have benefited their organisations.
We were all extremely impressed with Teesside University International Business School and are delighted to be involved in the Clinic. The task we have set for the students is a massive challenge which is facing the fire service nationally - we want to recruit more female firefighters, get them interested and get them applying. We want to banish some of the stereotypes around this being a profession for men. All the students will be working extremely hard but it is a mutually beneficial partnership and we will all be getting something out of it
