About | Holocaust Memorial Day

While we can’t get together in person to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, we will be holding a virtual event. Join us for readings online here at 12.00pm on Wednesday 27 January.

The theme of 2021 is ‘be the light in the darkness’. To mark this, we will be lighting up the campus. If you are able to do so safely, light a candle and put it in your window at 7pm on 27 January 2021.

We will be marking Holocaust Memorial Day online this year. Please join us from 12.00pm on Wednesday 27 January for readings.

Join us here for a series of readings by:
Dr David Bell, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International)
Juliet Amos, Executive Director (Human Resources)
Elisha Lycett, President Welfare, Teesside University Students’ Union
Gavin Rodgers, Associate Faith Adviser
Naomi Kelly, Associate Faith Adviser

Public lecture: Professor Nigel Copsey

4.00pm onwards
Be the light in the darkness: illumination of the University campus

Light a candle: please set aside time to join us in remembrance by lighting a candle and putting it in your window if you are able to do so safely.
