What do you most enjoy about your role at Teesside University London?

What I enjoy most about my role at TUL is the opportunity to travel across the UK and engage with young students about the benefits of Higher Education. I also enjoy working to establish partnerships with local businesses and organisations, finding ways we can collaborate to create value for both the university and the community.

How does your role benefit and support students?

My role provides students with insights and guidance on the university journey, helping them make informed decisions about their future studies and career paths. This support is essential in ensuring they feel confident and well-prepared for life at university and beyond.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

The highlight of my career so far has been witnessing the journey of students that have recently or in the process of finishing their degree or who I have met at UCAS fairs that later attended our open days and ultimately applied to the university. It’s fulfilling to see the initial conversations I’ve had with students spark genuine interest and excitement about their future. Watching them take those next steps, from learning about our programs to choosing to study with us, is a proud moment.

Why should students consider studying at Teesside University London?

Students should consider studying at Teesside University London because we offer a truly unique and flexible learning experience. Unlike traditional universities, we don’t have exams, and students only need to attend the campus twice a week, allowing them to balance their studies with other commitments (something I would have loved when I was at uni!) Every single staff member on campus is incredibly supportive, and we’re dedicated to helping students every step of their journey, both academically and personally. If you’re looking for a modern, student-centred approach to Higher Education, Teesside University London is the perfect choice!.

What is the best piece of advice you have for your students?

The best piece of advice I have for students is to make the most of every opportunity that comes your way. Whether it’s engaging with your tutors, connecting with industry partners, or participating in events, each experience adds value to your journey. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or seek support – there’s always someone here to help. Also remember that university is not only about getting a degree, but about building skills, relationships and experiences that will shape your future, Stay curious, stay proactive, and embrace every challenge with confidence!
