Leveraging the skills and expertise of students, with guidance from academic staff, provides a low-risk way for organisations to explore new, profitable opportunities, especially in areas where they may lack internal resources. We offer a variety of student internship programs to help businesses tap into fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.

Advanced practice
The advanced practice Master’s 18-week internship is designed to elevate the knowledge, skills, and expertise of graduate-level professionals, preparing them for their future careers. Interns are paired with leading professionals and experts in their field, gaining hands-on experience in real-world settings.
Employers will benefit from highly motivated students who can bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas. Access a pool of top-tier talent and play a critical role in developing the workforce of tomorrow.
- 18-week internship, between 20-40 hours a week.
- Intern allocated a mentor within the organisation, with weekly check-ins.
- Intern completes a pre-agreed project / area of focus that is equivalent to graduate-level work.
- Intern should ideally be paid the London Minimum Wage.
Projects interns could support your businesses with include:
- Business intelligence – collecting, visualising, and managing data, competitor analyses and business forecasting.
- Marketing – digital communications strategies and techniques, user-engagement and behaviour analyses to improve business outcomes.
- Data science – researching, writing, and testing code, designing, and developing robust and versatile software products.
- Cyber security – systems administration, identification of vulnerabilities and devising solutions.
Funded internships
Funded internships are an opportunity for second year undergraduate students to gain experience in an industry related to their subject of study. Students are paid by Teesside University London. This means that the company hosting the internship are receiving an intern at no cost to themselves.
- Funded internships are offered for 8 weeks, 20 hours a week.
- Students are paid London Living Wage by Teesside University London.
- Students complete a pre-agreed project / area of focus for the duration of the internship.
