‘The hydrotherapy pool and physiology labs at the University made a huge difference to my training, particularly in the run up to the Commonwealth Games where we were able to manipulate the conditions in the climate chamber to replicate those I would be competing in in Australia.’
‘I regularly use Teesside University Pool for hydrotherapy sessions with one of my clients as it one of the few therapeutically heated pools in the area to offer hoisting facilities. The University staff have been extremely helpful and supportive from the very first visit. Stuart and his team consistently prepare the environment so the session runs smoothly every time. They provide a high quality service and are interested in supporting the client to achieve their therapy goals.’
‘Having access to such a facility as the hydrotherapy pool has helped my performance and training throughout the year and allowed me to take my training and match play to the next level. Everything ran perfectly, from the staff and their knowledge of the equipment and facilities, to the actual facilities themselves. It has allowed me to keep up fitness levels during injury and take the load off my body during season so I can recover but workout at the same time.’
