We know it’s not always possible to bring your students out of the classroom to experience higher education, so we can bring the higher education experience to you. If you would like to arrange a bespoke visit to campus we can extend these talks into longer taster sessions.

Accounting & Economics

A world without waste

Much of the world’s waste is not managed properly. What’s the solution? We identify the principles, fundamentals and characteristics of a circular economy, showcasing the business benefits of transitioning to a circular business model.

Robots, tech and transformation – how fintech will rule the world

Students develop an understanding of the benefits and impact of emerging digital technologies. We explore the evolution of business objectives, critically compare and evaluate threats and opportunities caused by digital innovation, and examine business models.


Business Management & Enterprise

Are you ready to be a responsible leader?

Students look at different types of leaders using examples from films, books and business to identify the skills required and define what makes a responsible leader. We discuss tensions between profit and people and discuss the responsibilities of business to society.

Business enterprise

Students get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to prepare a business idea. They dive into the concepts behind idea generation, creative thinking and understand the components needs to get others to buy into it.

Enterprise and digital transformation

Students research and apply current digital innovative technologies to an SME of their choice, offering suggestions as to why digital technologies should be included, and the impact they will have on the enterprise’s ability to maintain market competition.


Marketing & Events

A MINI Adventure

As part of a team, students simulate what it’s like to work in an advertising agency, developing innovative ideas and identifying marketing aspects that can be attributed to the success of one of the most popular small cars in the world: the MINI.

Dark tourism

Demand for macabre attractions and experiences is growing. Students discuss how Auschwitz-Birkenau has developed as the darkest tourist destination on earth, assess how Chernobyl is paving the way for nuclear tourism and discuss the future of dark tourism.

Green marketing

Students learn about the three pillars of sustainability, identifying sustainable and non-sustainable behaviour. We also critically evaluate the marketing practices of local businesses and their impact on the environment.

Social media and marketing

Students explore how brands use social media platforms to communicate stories and engage their customer base. They discover which platforms are most effective for delivering digital marketing success and gain an insight into how social media campaigns are developed and optimised.


Travel & Tourism

The fast-moving world of airlines and airports

As demand for flights grow, we must innovate and collaborate to find solutions to problems the aeronautical industry faces. Students examine the principles of flights, analyse service levels and assess the competitive nature of aviation. Turning Japanese – a window to the tourism

Turning Japanese – a window to the tourism industry

We use Japan as an example to introduce students to a range of topics and issues that are critical to the global tourism industry. Students discuss how the industry is dealing with climate change, how the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are changing tourism and what the future of the tourism industry might look like.

For on campus visits, we also offer sessions in the library with our academic librarians. You can either include a session/s as part of a bespoke subject visit, or create a bespoke library visit, picking your sessions from the list.
