SafeZone - peace of mind 24/7 on campus

We've joined up with Critical ARC to bring you SafeZone - a free app for staff and students that connects you to the University security team if you ever need first-aid or urgent help when you're on campus.

SafeZone allows you to call for help and alerts all security staff to your situation and location so that they can co-ordinate to help you quickly and effectively.

• First aid - for when you need medical assistance.
• Emergency - if you feel threatened or need urgent assistance.
• Check in - share your location with Security for your personal safety.
• Notifications - if there is an incident on campus that requires you to take action.
• Privacy - your location stays private unless you request assistance or check-in.

Once you have downloaded the app, you must register for Teesside University's SafeZone service using your University email address.

3. Stay safe

Once you've signed-up, calls for assistance using the app will be received by our Security team. You will also receive any critical security notifications from the University. The regions section lets you see which areas of campus are covered by SafeZone.
