Our ‘In Conversation’ series features renowned speakers from the world of sport, business and culture who share an exclusive insight into their remarkable careers.

It provides an opportunity for you to hear directly about what inspired them and how they achieved such incredible success in their chosen field.

For this next series, we are delighted to be holding events both at Teesside University and at an exclusive location in London.

Our audience will have the opportunity to engage directly with our special guest speakers and ask questions during what will surely be a memorable evening out.

Tickets will be on a first come, first served basis.

Meet the speaker

George Clarke is an award-winning Architect, Designer, and Television Presenter, known for a plethora of successful TV series including ‘Restoration Man’ and ‘George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces’.

A graduate of Newcastle University and University College London, George received an Honorary Doctor of Arts from Teesside University in July 2023.

George has built a portfolio of businesses including a design studio, a construction company, and several property development businesses. He has also founded his own education charity, ‘MOBIE’, which aims to inspire young people to create sustainable homes for their future and has engaged students at Teesside University in design challenges for a number of years.

An ambassador for the Prince’s Foundation as well as the homeless charity Shelter, George is passionate about good quality housing and is an active campaigner in the fight against the global housing crisis.

This November join Teesside University in London as we welcome honorary graduate George Clarke to our In Conversation speaker series. Hear from George as he shares insights into his early years, his passion for design affordability and sustainability, plus his lifelong commitment to championing social housing and design innovation.
