Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology is offering Teesside University students the opportunity to participate in a 4-week cultural experience in the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
TAR UMT has a population of 28,000 students, and this cultural experience will give participants the chance to mix with local students as well as summer school participants from across the globe.
This 4-week cultural experience aims to give students the chance to learn about the history, culture, food and language of Malaysia. The programme will include the following:
Up to 15 places available
The programme is open to all students and the perfect opportunity for students who might not have travelled to Malaysia or Asia before and wish to learn more about the Malaysian culture.
Students will stay in university provided accommodation around the campus.

Regular fee: £1,000
Disadvantaged Background Fees: £500
Teesside University and the Turing Scheme subsidise the programme.
UK students won't need to obtain visa prior to their departure. Non-UK passport might be required to obtain a visa prior to their departure.
Unfortunately, due to visa restrictions students from certain nationalities (including Nigeria) will not be able to take part in the programmes in Malaysia.
