Transgender Day of Remembrance

Every year we remember those who have died over the past year due to transphobic violence.

The remembrance service is a meaningful and visible message to our trans staff and students, and importantly demonstrates the beauty of showing love, solidarity, and allyship to our trans siblings.

After the memorial presentation, a video of trans heroes submitted by staff and students was shared, followed by a walk to the on campus Memorial Garden to lay a new plaque.

Teesside University also supported the TDOR event at Stockton Arc.
