Resourcing the self and the system: Trauma informed approaches (TIA) Conference

Join us for our very first annual trauma conference at Teesside University. This year's theme is resourcing the self and the system through trauma informed approaches. This is a one-day conference of inspirational talks, panel discussions, and professional networking opportunities showcasing sector-leading innovation and best practice in trauma informed approaches. Hear from special keynote speakers, Lisa Cherry, trauma expert and author Bea Campbell (Cleveland Crisis) as well as experiential workshops, panel discussions and presentations. You will be hearing from survivors, experts by experience, frontline practitioners and Teesside university academics, all passionate about supporting people and building trauma informed systems and communities.

This one-day conference will include inspirational talks, personal testimonies from those with lived experience, experiential workshops, a panel discussion and research presentations. Resourcing the self and the system is about offering learning and networking opportunities, bringing together the voices of survivors, practitioners, students and academics. Speakers and facilitators will be reflecting on the real-world challenges as well as the opportunities offered by trauma informed approaches to service delivery.

In addition to our programme of sessions and networking, delegates will be be invited to join an online community in which we can start to share examples of best practice, research and learning materials.
