Occupational health

Occupational health is a specialty concerned with the prevention and management of work-related health problems and the assessment of functional capacity for work.




Occupational health practitioners are nurses or doctors who hold post-graduate qualifications in OH and have specialist knowledge on the effects of work on health and the impact of health conditions on a person's capabilities for work.

As part of the Human Resources team we are committed to the wellbeing of our staff and community.

Occupational health provides the University with a source of professional expertise to assist management with employee welfare and to assist staff with their own wellbeing needs. Our aim is to promote a positive wellbeing culture in the University.
