You can catch a free shuttle bus to Here East from Stratford International and Stratford City Station. It runs every 5-8 minutes during the week.

If you're 18 or over, a student and living in a London borough, you can get discounted travel with an Oyster photocard. The card will save you 30% on adult-rate Travelcards and Bus & Tram Pass season tickets.

You can apply for an 18+ Student Oyster photocard if:

• You're 18 or over
• Live in a London borough during term time
• Enrolled at a school, college or university registered on the TfL scheme or on a mandatory work placement in London.

You must also be one of the following:

• Enrolled on a full-time course with at least 15 tuition-led or structured learning hours a week. You must attend classes Monday to Friday only (not including evening classes) that span a minimum of 14 weeks on the same course (shorter courses repeated over 14 or more weeks aren't eligible)
• Full-time postgraduate student, studying or writing up to more than 15 hours a week.

You can also access discounted travel across the country by signing up for a railcard. A railcard can save 1/3 on your train trips.

Most railcards can be purchased online with the option to download as a digital railcard to your smartphone/device with the Railcard App. Some railcards can also be purchased at any National Rail staffed ticket office.

You can book your train tickets online or in person, but to qualify for a reduced rate ticket you must be able to present your railcard during your journey. Failing to do this will invalidate your train ticket.

If you do not qualify under the categories of railcard ages, you can still apply for a student discounted railcard as a mature student. All you need to do is send photographic proof of your passport, proving your age.

The TOTUM app is free to download and provides great discounts and offers on food, drink, cinema, fashion, music and more. Available for just £14.99 for one year, or £24.99 for two years. A physical card is also available.
