In this masterclass you explore the latest knowledge, skills and behaviours required to fulfil the role of practice educator.

 
 

Course overview

Our regulatory body, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), require all health care practitioners involved in the supervision and assessment of Allied Health Profession (AHP) pre-registration learners to be trained, so this masterclass meets that need.

Funding: funded places may be available. Please liaise with your organisation for funding opportunities.

Course details

What you study

The masterclass runs over one day. In the morning session, you join other AHPs to consider:
• current drivers within practice-based learning placements
• supportive learning environments
• equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging.

In the afternoon session, you meet with your AHP academic course team to discuss practice education matters relevant to your specific profession.

Entry requirements

For registered and non-registered healthcare workers involved in the supervision and/or assessment of Teesside University pre-registration AHP learners (students and apprentices).

You require access to an electronic device with internet access and sufficient screen (PC, laptop or tablet) to fully engage with online sessions.
